The little bear who visited us last year is back. Here you can see her just outside my kitchen window. She's licking the fallen sunflower seeds off the ground, since she can't reach the feeders.
You can see lots more pictures of her here. (If you click that link, be patient; it goes to my October archive, which has a lot of posts.)

It looks as if she did very well through the winter. Look at that gorgeous coat!
Ambling away.
Little bear has been an honorary dog at Sweetnicks' Weekend Dog Blogging before, so this is my entry for this week. This Sunday, head on over to Sweetnicks' place for a peek at more, shall we say, traditional dog shots!

I had a bear on my deck friday night. He was as tall as I am standing up! A little too close for comfort. He stayed for quite a while ravaging my birdfeeder. no more birdfeeders for me.

Wow! Cute, but a little too close for me... hee hee!
wow... a lot closer than we usually get but I'm sure that once salmon season rolls around I'll have more chances at bear encounters during my new nightly dog-walking ritual(we have a new dog as of two weeks ago).
Wow, I bet Simba was going nuts inside while the bear was out there.
Wow, so gorgeous... closest thing we get in our backyard are big, fat groundhogs. ;)
wow, it's like having a nature documentary in your own backyard! i live in west l.a. (and i don't even have a backyard), so it's somewhat shocking to me that people get to see nature this up close and personal. great shot of miss bear ambling off on her way!
Wow, you are ever so lucky! That's a beautiful bear. Thanks for sharing those pictures with us!
GREAT SHOTS! Any idea on her age? Any bear experts out there? I mean, is that a small bear or a LARGE bear?

I'd find it probably very intimidating! I've seen a bear while picking wild berries in a forest, but never so close to human inhabitance!!
Cute bear!

She's beautiful - such a gorgeous coat, especially in the sunlight. She looks cuddly but it's still a rather a scary thought, having a bear in the back garden!
